It’s Domination in The West!!

I don’t know who was worse last night, the Clippers or the Coyotes. I mean the L.A. Clippers are toast. The Spurs are just absolutely rubbing them out. Both games in San Antonio were a joke. They weren’t even worth watching, that’s how bad it is. There’s no way people are watching that and sitting through that and lasting through that. I mean the Spurs are just absolutely killing them in every facet of the game. Scoring, rebounding, defense, their bench play, you name it. Ginobili is coming off the bench and lighting them up. The Clippers are doing nothing. It doesn’t matter if they go back to L.A. It doesn’t matter if they get a play at Staples because they are getting schooled and they’re toast, they’re finished. In fact, I think the Spurs can win the whole thing. I’m not sure anybody can beat the Spurs. Think about it. Their whole season all they’ve done is school teams and won big every night. I mean they blew everybody out every night. They do it all. The hit the three, they get inside scoring from Duncan and great guard play Parker and Ginobili, I mean they are sick. Everybody is always talking about the Thunder and the Heat and the Celtics and the fact of the matter is I think the Spurs may kick everyone’s ass and win the whole thing and do it easily. By the time they get to the Western finals they’re going to win and then they’re going to go to the NBA finals and win another trophy and everybody is going to be bummed out because no one likes when the Spurs down in little old San Antonio win championships.

As for the Coyotes, they’re frankly an embarrassment to the Western Conference. They had a great season, great story with a copout ending. I mean just a thud. They’re down 3-0 after losing 2‑1 last night to the Kings. I gave you the Kings to win and the Coyotes to cover the goal and a half on ScottBeatsTheMan.com. All I do is hit winners. 5-1 in NBA plays last night, 6-0 in NBA plays Wednesday night. What am I going to do tonight? Well I got two more games I’m going to hit but as for the Coyotes, put a fork in them. They went to L.A., gave it a whirl, they were in the game but they still lost and the Kings are going to sweep them. They’ll win both games in LA. There is no hockey tonight. Devils and Rangers play on Saturday but we’re rockin’ tonight on a Pain-Free Friday 8PM East, 5PM West on Sirius XM’s Howard 101.

Lakers Are Done Because Blake Sucks!

I don’t know what the Lakers were thinking last night, but that last play in Oklahoma City drawn up by Brown to give Blake the shot from the corner to try to win the game against the Thunder was just the most ridiculous, horrible play I’ve ever seen. You gotta be kidding me. You’re gonna give him the rock at the end of the game? I mean, I know the old theory, everybody knows Kobe’s gettin’ the rock, don’t give him the rock is what people would believe would be the thing to do, but I’m not buying it. I’d rather have Kobe shootin’ a three with hands in his face and guys in his grill and gettin’ hacked then let Steve Blake. Steve Blake’s okay to shoot a jumper in the second and third quarter but I don’t want him anywhere near shooting the ball in fourth quarter, let alone the last shot of the game when his miss, in my opinion cost him the series.

You know that the LA Lakers are not winning four of five. They’re not winning both games in LA and they’re not winning in Oklahoma City twice again. They got Game 5 and Game 7 in Oak City. They’re just not doing it. That series is over because Brown gave Blake the ball to rest their laurels on that guy’s jumper at the end. It was the kiss of death, series over, Lakers lose. They’re down 2-0 now, forget it, write it off and they shouldn’t even play in the rest of the games. Seriously, Steve Blake sucks so stop letting him shoot and stop letting him be a Laker. I don’t care what anybody says, he awful. I mean, who cares if he can hit a jumper in the second quarter, who cares if he can and play some minimal defense? Please, I’d rather have Metta World Peace shoot that jumper.

Pacers go at it again with the Heat tonight and the Spurs and Clippers meet. The Kings look for a 3‑0 lead against the Coyotes at Staples in Lipstick City. There’s tons of baseball and we got everything you need. We got your fix, we’re all set at 8PM East, 5PM West on Sirius XM’s Howard 101.

The Playoffs Just Keep Exciting!!

Huge win for the Pacers last night in Miami as they stunned the Heat. Lebron misses two free throws, Wade misses a late chance to score and Chalmers misses the three at the end of the game. The Pacers steal the win in Miami and now they head back to Indy for games three and four, so nice job by the Pacers. Also, the Spurs as expected rocked the tired Clippers last night in San Antonio. There are two more games tonight. Can the Sixers take advantage of their big win in Boston now that they’re home at the Wells Fargo in Philadelphia for Game Three? Oklahoma City takes on the Lakers again after L.A. got whacked in Game One by the Thunder. Will the Thunder roll again? Will they just steam-roll the Lakers with Threes and everybody on that team in double figures? The Lakers were standing around looking like they didn’t know what hit them.

We have Devils and Rangers Game Two tonight in the Eastern Conference Finals, in the Stanley Cup playoffs, at the Garden. New Jersey lost 3-0 in Game One and if they don’t win tonight they can forget about doing anything in this series. I would agree with that now. They have to get the job done tonight. Phoenix had to do it last night against the L.A. Kings in the Western Conference Finals but instead they got their asses handed to them and the L.A. Kings win it 4-0. They lead that series 2-0 and now they’re headed home. How ’bout the Kings? They have not lost on the road in the playoffs this year. That is domination right there, that’s the essence of it. They’re winning every battle, Hitting, Goal Tending, Passing, Shots and Defense. They have six defensemen getting the job done, they’re winning Goal tending as Jonathan Quick has been surreal in the playoffs. Everybody said that Mike Smith was going to do the same thing for the Coyotes because he’s had a brilliant run in the playoffs and the season, but he’s getting his ass kicked at the other end of the ice by Quick.

In baseball you have Dodgers and San Diego late this afternoon out at Petco and everything else is at night. The Yanks are in Toronto, Tampa Bay/Boston is the game of the night, Kansas City/Baltimore and you’ve got the Cards playing in San Francisco, that should be good. The Reds are in New York to see the Mets, by the way the Mets got the All-Star game in 2013.

You Gotta Love the NHL Playoffs!!

Well, that was a great game last night with the Rangers and Devils at the Garden for two periods anyway. Then the Rangers just kicked the Devils’ ass in the third. Girardi scored and then Kreider scored and Anisimov scored to make it 3-0 and the Rangers take Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals and lead it. They get another game on Wednesday night at the Garden. If they win that game and go up two, you can forget about it. I think all the people talking about the series being over because the Devils got beat in Game 1 are tripping. This is not over. It’s gonna be an interesting series. I think it’s gonna be a great series. I don’t think you can hang the entire series on one game. Obviously it’s a huge advantage to the Rangers, top seed in the East, to take the first game. You win the first game, then you only need to win three more. If you lose the first game, you gotta win four in six. I don’t think the Devils can beat the Rangers in four of six games, but can they make it a great series? Yes.

The Kings tonight are looking for No. 7 in a row on the road in the playoffs. They haven’t lost yet on the road in the playoffs. They’re 6-0 so far so here they go into Phoenix again with a 1-0 lead in the Western Conference Finals. Everybody and their brother is betting on the Kings. I gotta believe that they can beat the Coyotes ‘cause they’ve already proven they can beat ‘em. They kicked their ass in Game 1, 4-2, it should’ve been 4-1, but they scored from center ice to get one of their goals, so I don’t even think they could barely even get near the net. Quick’s amazing, the Kings are playing amazing and you’d think it’d be easy pickins. For some strange reason though I think this game is gonna be chaotic and I think the Coyotes do have a shot. We’ll be all over it tonight live on Sirius XM’s Howard 101. We’re on at 8PM East, 5PM West.

How Sick Was That Last Day in the EPL?!?!

I got to tell you, that Manchester City Game against Queens Park was the greatest thing maybe I’ve ever seen in sports the last few years. It was better than any Super Bowl I’ve watched. It was better than any major sporting event in the U.S., World Series, Stanley Cup, NBA finals. You name it. I can’t think of anything that was more thrilling. That was insanity on ESPN yesterday, watching them losing to one of the worst teams in the league. A team that if they would have and did lose, Queens Park, that they would have been relegated from the league because they were so awful and they never beat anybody. They are like as bad as it gets in the EPL. So what do they do? They’re down 1-0, then they tie it, then Queens Park takes the lead and it’s 2-1 with literally five minutes of extra time at the end of the game, then Man City scores twice and Man City and for the first time in 45 years, win the title in England, win the Premier League, and Man U finishes second. They thought they had it wrapped up because Man City was going to tie at best and there is no way they could score two goals in five minutes but they did it in three minutes and when they scored that second goal, that place erupted and the celebration was unlike anything you’ve ever seen. I saw naked people running around on the stadium pitch. It was just, surreal. It was kick ass and then watching the Man U fans in the other stadium and their coach, Ferguson, who thought they had the trophy, as usual. They always win, Man U but to see them all crying and shocked and the look of stun on their face was epic. That was kick ass. Soccer is not over yet either. This Saturday, the 19^th, Bayern Munich plays Chelsea at Bayern for the UEFA Champions League Final. It’s going to be kick ass.

UFC on Fuel 3 is tomorrow night, there’s tons of fights and Saturday is Strikeforce in San Jose. Josh Barnett’s fighting, so we’re going to get into all of that this week.

But, tonight it’s all about the Rangers and Devils as the Eastern Conference Finals start at the Garden. I was there for Game 7 on Saturday night when the Rangers eliminated the Capitals 2-1 in a great game. Also, we’ll talk about last night’s Kings win and the Western Finals opener for 4-2 over the Coyotes.

There’s two NBA games tonight, Oak City is playing the Lakers and the Sixers play the Celtics.

There’s also tons of baseball.

It’s a Pain Free Friday!!

Well there’s gonna be a lot goin’ tonight, mostly all eyes are gonna be on the Clippers and Grizzlies. Basically these two hate each other’s guts at this point of the series. They’re back in Lipstick City with the Clippers havin’ a shot right here on their home court to eliminate Memphis from the playoffs. The Clippers would go on to meet the Spurs if they get it done. You saw what happened last night. The Lakers got their asses handed to ‘em in Denver, the Bulls got eliminated by the Sixers and the Hawks with their big-mouth owner got whacked in Boston. It was only by 3, but K. G., Rondo and company were sayin’ bye-bye Hawks thanks for comin’ to the party, you’re out of the playoffs now and your owner, who Garnett trashed after the game in the press conference, can have a nice off season playing golf down in Hot Town. So just one NBA game tonight and we’re all over it.

There’s also tons of baseball. We’re gonna set ya up for the weekend including a second-round report from the Player’s Championship in Ponte Vedra, Florida at the TPC Sawgrass. We’ll talk about some of these NFL team with OTAs and workouts. It was great havin’ Rodger Saffold and James Brewer of the Rams and Giants, respectively, in studio last night. The show is unbelievable. We were rockin’ all night long. We’ll talk about a guy ridin’ a 78 foot wave in Portugal, it happened in November but we finally saw the footage of it, breaks a world record.

We’re gonna talk about a lot tonight. Are the Heat the biggest floppers in the NBA? Josh Beckett’s problems in Boston. We’ll talk about the Rangers/Capitals Game 7 at the Garden. Ferrall is goin’ to gain 7 at the world’s most famous arena. We’ll talk about concussions again, but this time with girls and teenagers. So much more to do, Greg Oden says he’s an alcoholic, partied like a rock star when he was in Portland with all his injuries. Rondo’s A Dick!!

Bottom line is tonight’s show’s all about a NBA triple header of playoff games where the Bulls, the Hawks and the Nuggets all have to win. Chicago staved off elimination with their win in Chicago against the Sixers, now they’re in Philadelphia where they basically got run out of the gym in their last two games there. Boston goes home to try to wipe out the Hawks.

I saw this video of Rajon Rondo attacking a cameraman after the loss by one in Atlanta the other night. Rondo has a personality of a garage door and if he wins and he’s having a triple double, he’s the nicest guy in the world, but if the Celtics lose and he doesn’t have a good game, he’s an asshole. If you’ve ever noticed his personality even around Boston with his situation plan for the Celtics, he’s an asshole there as well. He just isn’t a happy guy and he’s got one of these temper tantrums and when things don’t go his way he’s a dick. So, I’m starting to not like Rajon Rondo. I’m sick and tired of fucking people that if they get things their way they’re happy, if they don’t get things their way, they treat everybody like shit. Especially when they’re a prima donna pro athletic making tons of money, but then in the end, it’s always nice when I see athletes that make millions of dollars for 10 and 12 years, finish playing, and then go broke within five years. I hope Rajon Rondo makes tons of money, gets a new deal, goes to a new team, gets filthy rich and then in like five or ten years he’s broke and we can all abuse him because he’s another loser athletic that couldn’t get his shit straight with his money. He’s just an asshole, that’s the bottom line. Great basketball player, incredible talent, great, no looks, great assist, maybe the best point guard in the league, but he’s an asshole. So assholes get abused on our show. If you’re just a cool dude, we’re cool with you. If you’re an asshole, we abuse you. So he’s my asshole of the month.

Denver has to beat the Lakers tonight in the Mile High City. I think this is going to be the game of the night, better than the other two, so we’ll be all over that.

There’s no hockey, it’s Saturday night because the Caps beat the Rangers last night 2-1. I had the Caps to win and I had the Rangers getting a goal and a half, so I hit both sides of it on ScottBeatsTheMan.com. There Was Great Playoff Action Last Night and It Continues Tonight!!

The Pacers were the only team that advanced in the playoffs last night. All the other teams staved off elimination. The Bulls beat the Sixers in Chicago, the Hawks won by one point over the Celtics in Atlanta and then how about Denver with the surprise of the night winning at Staples against Kobe and the Lakers. Kobe absolutely went off in this game for 43 and at the end of the game with about 3:50 left, he started hitting bomb three-pointers every single time they went down the floor, but in the end his three clanked off the rim. Then Sessions got a chance off the rebound to hit a three from the wing but he missed and Denver forces game six back in the Mile High City in the Pepsi can.

So it was great NBA action last night and it was cool seeing the Devils kick the Flyers ass. Philadelphia has no cup since ’75. They talk big on Broad Street but they never get it done. Now the Devils are in the Eastern Final for the first time, well in a long time. They haven’t won the cup since ’03 and they’re hoping they meet the Rangers. That would be the biggest rivalry in the sport, basically still brewing in the Eastern Final.

The Rangers can win tonight in D.C. against the Capitals. That’s easier said than done. It’s Game Six at the Verizon Center. We’ll see if Ovie can get any shots. He had no shots in Game Five at the Garden. We’ll see what he does tonight with the Caps against the Rangers. Can they force a Game Seven back in New York or do the Rangers win and advance to meet their rival, the Devils, in a seven game series with the right to go to the Stanley Cup Finals. Remember it’s LA and Phoenix in the other semi which is in the Western Final out in Lipstick City and in Phoenix.

Also tonight, you got Miami and the Knicks. Can the Knicks stave off elimination again? We’ll see. Memphis has to win or they’re done since the Clippers are up 3-1 there.

There’s tons of baseball. How about Josh Hamilton last night? Four, count ‘em, four two-run homers. He had 18 total bases, 8 RBIs. Only 16 guys have ever done it in major league history and there’s only been 20 perfect games in major league history. So, fewer guys have hit four homeruns in a game and the list of people that have done it is impressive to say the least. We’ll talk about that stuff tonight at 8PM East, 5PM West on Sirius XM’s Howard 101.

Plus Ozzie Guillen flips out again. We’ll talk more about bounties. It’s he said-she said type stuff going on there, back and forth while one of the players is blaming the Saints coach Vitt, that he said play dumb if asked about the bounties and cover it up. Chris Carter, the former receiver, says he used to get bounties as protection for himself while he played for 16 years. We’ll talk about Ryan Leaf’s problems. We’ll talk about the NFL doing their own study on who dies more, the general public or football players, and everything else that is going on, on the show tonight.

Richards Pays Off for New York!!

I’ll tell you what. That’s why the New York Rangers got Brad Richards! He scored with 6.6 seconds left in the game last night, trailing the Capitals 2-1, and the Rangers forced overtime and then win it on Staals slap shot from the top of the slot early in the extra session. They now lead the Eastern semi against the Capitals, three games to two. Game six will be in the District later this week. It was a great game last night in the Garden. That’s why you pay big bucks for a clutch performer like Richards who came up big in the ultimate moment for the Rangers, when they were down 2-1 in the game and it looked like they were going to go down in the series, boom, boom they win and now lead the series 3–2. That’s after the Capitals beat them on Saturday, going back to when I was in Vegas, and I called that win by the Capitals and then I called the Ranger win in Game 5 on ScottBeatsTheMan.com. All I do is give you winners including that Jazz +8 last night and the Spurs to win with the big comeback to cover, backdoor style.

There’s tons of games tonight, Flyers / Devils. Believe it or not, the New Jersey Devils can eliminate the Flyers in the other Eastern semi tonight in Philadelphia if they can beat the Flyers. Otherwise they come back to New Jersey for Game six. In the NBA, there is four games, all of them are 3–1 leads for these teams. Pacers can eliminate the Magic, they’re in Indy. Boston can eliminate Atlanta, but they’re in Atlanta. Philadelphia can eliminate the Bulls, but they’re in Chicago and the Lakers can eliminate Denver on their home court at Staples tonight. Last night there the Clippers beat Memphis again and now lead that series is 3-1 going back to Beal Street.

There is tons of baseball. How about the Mets last night, some kid steps up, hits a three run jack in the ninth, his first major league hit is a homerun, and they beat the Phillies. They’ve won three in a row and those two teams go at it again tonight. Miami’s hot all of a sudden after they beat Houston and they’re playing again. Cards beat Arizona last night and they’re playing again in Arizona tonight. Dodgers blew out the Giants 9-1 last night and Kershaw goes for them tonight. Cleveland won two from the White Sox yesterday in a double dip and they play again tonight. Tampa Bay starts up a series with the Yankees in the Bronx if they can get it in because the weather in New York is shitty. Boston opened up a series in Kansas City with a win, they play again. Verlander goes for the Tigers tonight in Seattle. We’re live at 8PM East, 5PM West on Sirius XM’s Howard 101, as always we’re rockin’. We’re Back From Vegas!!

Well, it was another kickass trip to Vegas for a prize fight for Mayweather / Cotto. It was unbelievable in Sin City on Saturday night. Why do I say that? Because I thought Cotto got jobbed! I mean I’ll admit I thought that after 9th round Mayweather won the last three rounds, I’ll give you that. I thought he won the last three rounds, but I thought he won the last three rounds because after he was already down three rounds. Now I know there’s more emphasis on the last three rounds in my world of boxing scoring system type picks, so I would have given the fight to Mayweather by a point or two at best. I thought Cotto up until the 10th round would have at least got a draw out of it by Mayweather winning the last three rounds. It would have been a draw basically at best for Cotto but I did think Mayweather stole the fight. But, when I saw the scoring system come out two judges had it 117-111 and the other one had it 118-110. I thought that those scoring verdicts were ridiculous! I just was stunned! I thought it was laughable! You got to be kidding me!! They had it, these three judges, as a total lopsided blow-out win, unanimous for “Money” Mayweather. I don’t know anyone that I talked to out of that fight that thought that it was 117-111 or 118-110, which was ridiculous. I thought it was a closer fight that that. I thought it was an entertaining fight. I thought Cotto bullied him and I thought he broke his nose. I thought he had him gushing blood. No one’s ever done that to Floyd Mayweather, and even after the fight Floyd said he was the toughest guy he’s ever fought. Cotto showed up. It was an entertaining fight. I had a blast in the MGM Grand Garden Arena on Saturday night no doubt. It was fun calling into Howard this morning to talk about the fight and we had a blast in Vegas overall so great grades were given to the trip this time to Sin City.

Tonight, we have Rangers and Caps at the Garden and that’s going to be a rocking game five with the series tied at twos. Plus we have Phoenix and Nashville and the Coyotes can advance to the Western finals to meet the Kings who swept the Blues on Sunday. In the NBA tonight you have the Spurs against the Jazz with the Spurs having a chance to move on as well as Memphis and the Clippers again in LA.

There’s also tons of great baseball. Halladay is pitching for Phillies against the Mets and you’ve got the Dodgers against the Giants and they hate each other’s guts. Baltimore is on fire and they’re playing Texas and Cleveland and the White Sox play too. We’re live at 8 PM East, 5PM West on Sirius XM’s Howard 101.
