If tonight was any indication of how great the college season’s going to be, then it is going to be a great season because Pitt and Utah put on a show out west in the mountains. Utah ended up winning it in overtime 27-24 and this game had it all. At the end of regulation, Pitt lined up for a field goal and the guy makes it, but there’s a flag, then he’s got to kick it again, and he misses, but there was a time out called at the last second so he had to kick it a third time, and then he pelted it through. It sent the game into overtime and when the overtime started Pitt threw an interception, so Utah got the ball and they played boring crap with some run it up the middle bullshit offense, but they moved the ball down into field goal range on the five and then the kid jacked it through for the Utah win. They’ve now won 18 straight games. It was an awesome football game to be honest with you. Pitt was ranked 15th and they played great. Lewis looked good but he got hurt at the end of the game, looked like he either hurt his leg or his side as he was limping off the field. That could be bad news for Pitt since he’s their Heisman candidate. But it was really a awesome night of college football all around. Ohio State won big and Indiana, Minnesota and the Miami Canes put on a show but there were also some close finishes like when the Gophers scored a touchdown with four minutes left to win that game at Middle Tennessee State. It was just an overall great night in college football.

We’ll do it again tonight with Arizona and Toledo as well as 15 baseball games on the slate. CC Sabathia won his 19th game last night. It was a light night of baseball, but a full night tonight.

We’re live at 8PM East (5PM West) on Sirius XM’s Howard 101. Don’t forget to check out Episode 1 of “Pain Day” on FerrallRadio.com. All you do is click Ferrall-a-vision or scroll down on the home page to see the TV monitor, and then click the video and watch it. There are two new clips up for you to watch. One is “Pain Day,” the whole show is just under 15 minutes, and the other clip is five free college football picks for Saturday that is the second video that plays. So check it all out at FerrallRadio.com and to get all my pics just go to ScottBeatstheMan.com every day. I’ll see you tonight at 8PM East (5PM West) on Sirius XM’s Howard 101. Shake it up!!

Follow me on Facebook at facebook.com/scottferrall79 and on twitter on @scottferrall. If you are in Midtown Manhattan, NYC and looking for a place to eat and drink you have to check out Hurley’s on 48th between 8th and Broadway, it’s where Ferrall and the boys party all the time. They got a huge bar with tons of flat screen tv’s showing all kinds of sports all day as well as all the UFC fights with no cover charge. If you want to lose weight, get on the Lean by clicking the Nutrition 53 banner and get on Romanowski’s stuff, it works, believe me, I use it. You want a suit? Go to Joseph’s Custom Clothier on Third and ask for Joey Wendt. Spine, neck, back problems? Go to The Spine & Health Center in Montvale, New Jersey and ask for Dr. Kelly or Dr. Pete and they’ll set you straight.

One of the craziest shows ever last night with the Jersey Shore guys. I don’t know what you wanna call those, cologne-riddled freaks that are best friends with The Situation. I have now seen it all. Some guy calling himself The Unit came in drinking tons of vodka, and talking about his buddy being in the situation, and how to get rock hard abs, and get all the trim you can handle, and making tons of money, and living in Panama, and going to prison, and even having a double major from Rutgers. All of his friends were talking about how much ass they get and they showed me hundreds of naked pictures of chicks on their cell phones. Jesus, I hope my daughter never meets any of them, I’d fucking kill myself. I have now literally seen it all in my radio career, oh man, what a disaster. The fans were calling in just ridiculing them, hating them, wanting to kill them, threatening them and fighting with them. It was insane.

Thank God the summer is officially over because tonight all we have to worry about from this day forward is college football and pro football. The college football season starts tonight with a slew of games including Southern Miss/South Carolina, USC/ Hawaii and Pitt/Utah. There’s just tons of great games that we’re excited about and a full slate of NFL preseason games as every single team plays their final preseason game all on one night. We’ll parachute in on every game in college and pro.

Don’t forget the first webisode edition of “Pain Day.” My new web TV show on FerrallRadio.com is up and running. Check it out. We did it with our own handhelds and our lack of mics. You can tell it was kind of a raw footage type of situation but feel better about yourself. We’re gonna have nothing but HD‑quality from this point forward. We had a professional crew film Episode 2 yesterday at Hurley’s. We’ll do it every Wednesday at Hurley’s on 48th Street between Eighth and Broadway. If you ever want to come out and check out the production and the filming of the show, you can be a part of it. We do it at around 3:45 til 5:00 p.m. every Wednesday. That’s the schedule the rest of the football season. But check out the first episode. Don’t forget all of my picks for Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday are up on ScottBeatstheMan.com and all the NFL preseason games for tonight.

I was hot last night in my baseball picks. I hit nine games and went crazy with the night games. I only got one of my best picks wrong. That’s 7 out of 8!! How about the fight last night started by our buddy, Tony Plush, aka Nyjer Morgan of the Nationals, after he got thrown behind. He attacked the pitcher, Volstad, of the Marlins and cracks him with a haymaker and basically got the shit beat out of himself in a huge brawl down in south Florida in that game. How about the Padres? They’ve lost seven in a row and the Cardinals have been slumping ass too. The Yankees kept kicking the A’s ass. Thank God baseball’s only got a month left. It’s all football tonight though!! See you tonight at 8PM East (5PM West) on Sirius XM’s Howard 101. Shake it up!!

Don’t forget to check out the vent every day and the newly added Fantasy Alarm deal on FerrallRadio.com. Follow me on Facebook at facebook.com/scottferrall79 and on twitter on @scottferrall.

Baseball is boring as hell so I’m just gonna riff on a few things that I have on my mind. First off, Sour Shoes does the best impersonations of not only myself but everybody else on Sirius and on the Howard Stern channels. Nobody can hold a candle to him, he’s the man. I’ve never heard anybody do a better impression of me anywhere, ever in the 27 years I’ve been on the radio.

The other thing I talked about on the show last night was Lindsey Lohan. I don’t care what anybody says, she’s smoking hot and I would have loved to have taken advantage of her when she was all doped up and drunk and wasted and falling down on her face while she was chasing her ugly man/boy/girl DJ friend and freaking out and losing her mind. I know eventually she’s going to get sober and they’re going to make her right again and she’s going to start making movies and be hot for a long time in Hollywood. I don’t believe it’s a good time to give up on her yet and I think she’ll get clean and be smoking hot again and making all kinds of money and guys will want her.

As far as sports, I’m just so surprised that it’s the first week of college football and I had to pull teeth last night to get fans to talk about it. I mean, what is wrong with you people?!?! Honest to God, I haven’t been this fired up in a long time to watch college football every night for the rest of the year. It’s a beautiful thing that there are games on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and that starting next week NFL will own Sunday and Monday. Obviously we know you fans never talk baseball. It doesn’t matter who is doing something in the MLB, nobody wants to talk about it. The Reds brought up Chapman, the Cuban pitcher who was throwing 100-mile-an-hour gas last night and nobody cared. Trying to pick baseball winners is the hardest thing to do on the face of the earth right now, it’s harder than stopping World Wars.

Obviously nobody wants to talk about the US Open because nobody gives a fuck about tennis and the same thing for golf. It doesn’t matter what’s going on in golf and tennis, people just don’t care. So, you’d think they’d riled up to start talking football with it coming back, especially since there’s some great games this week. Eventually everybody all got fired up about it on the show last night but I had to yank out my teeth and hair to get everybody motivated. We brought in our new intern last night, Shepherd’s Pie.

We were raging and we’ll do it again tonight. Obviously the night before college football starts we’ll preview all the games in college as well as the NFL’s final preseason games that are Thursday night. Roddick plays at the US Open Wednesday night, that should be cool. There are also four day games in baseball and a lot of night games.

I will be taping Episode 2 of “Pain Day” today at 3:45 if you want to come out to Hurley’s. It’s 48th Street between 8th and Broadway. We’ll be taping the show in the bar somewhere (either up in the tiki bar or the third floor or downstairs in one of the two bars). If you want to come out and hang with us, please be my guest and show up and we’ll have a freshy with you.

Make sure to go to ScottBeatsTheMan.com for all my picks in everything! College football’s Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday nights games are all up on the site. Thursdays NFL preseason picks are up on the site, everything’s up! Don’t forget to check FerrallRadio.com for Episode 1 of “Pain Day,” our new football show that we taped last week at Hurley’s. It should be up today at some point on the web site. Have a great day. See you at 8PM East (5PM West) on Sirius XM’s Howard 101. Shake it up!!

Don’t forget to check out the vent every day and the newly added Fantasy Alarm deal on FerrallRadio.com. Follow me on Facebook at facebook.com/scottferrall79 and on twitter on @scottferrall.

Is there anything worse than baseball at the end of August? I mean all they’re trying to do is salvage some kind of interest in the sport by talking about things like wild card races and wild card standings. Manny Ramirez goes to the White Sox today, speaking of quitters. He quit on the Red Sox, quit on the Dodgers, was completely worthless this year and yet ESPN makes it seem like he’s Ted Williams the way they treat it. It’s a story that just continues to pound my nerve sack with its daily coverage of him as though he was the most important guy in the history of baseball. The guy hasn’t played in a year, he missed every game this season, he a fat slob and he’s gonna do nothing for the White Sox. They’re not gonna win the central, they’re not gonna go to the playoffs, he’s not gonna make a difference and yet this is the best you can do to talk sports. Last night that was torture even having to put up with it, let alone listen in to all the MMA assholes tell me that that was a good card on Saturday night in Boston. It was fucking pathetic watching fat James Toney get his ass beat by Randy Couture.

I mean the talk about the Barclay’s was more exciting, it really was and Matt Kuchar’s win was unbelievable. He came back in the last two holes to tie Martin Laird and then win it in sudden death on the first hole by tapping in on a beautiful birdie after he hit a perfect shot about three inches from the cup from 200 yards out. So, he wins the first FedEx Cup Tournament and now they’re in Boston at the TPC Boston this week.

Thank god college football returns on Thursday. There are games Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Monday night culminates with Boise State against Virginia Tech in Blacksburg which should be awesome. Plus, Thursday night’s the last pre-season games in the NFL before the regular season starts next Thursday night with the Vikings and Saints. So, this week is all about college football.

Don’t forget you can get all my picks for this week’s college games at ScottBeatstheMan.com and if you want to see us, tape “Pain Day” our web TV show for FerrallRadio.com, come out to Hurley’s on Wednesday. We’ll be taping around 4:00PM East. It’s on 48th Street between 8th and Broadway and we’ll tape every Wednesday there at roughly the same time. Come on out and see us tape the show. You’ll dig it and it’ll be airing every single week like I told you on the website so it’ll be cool. Follow me on facebook at facebook.com/scottferrall79 and on twitter on @ScottFerrall. I’ll see you tonight 8PM East (5PM West) on Sirius XM’s Howard 101. Shake it up!!

There were some crazy games in baseball yesterday afternoon that we were talking about them on the show last night. The Rockies had a nine-run comeback to beat the Braves 12‑10 at Coors for the sweep. Then Cincinnati beat the Giants 12‑11 in a crazy game where the Giants took the lead in the bottom of the eighth 11‑10, but the Reds tied it in the ninth on a error by Sandoval throwing over to first and they eventually got the winning run home on a single to right, and they held on to win the game. Dusty Baker’s team is tough as Hell, I’m telling you what!

We were also talking about the 18‑game schedule that’s inevitable in the NFL with Mike Florio of NBC Sports and Profootballtalk.com in a great interview. We even talked about all of the NFL futures for season with the Vegas win totals for every team in the league. We’re gonna do more of that tonight but on the college football side of things.

Speaking of college football, we’re gonna be taping our new football web TV show at Hurley’s this afternoon at 4PM East. We’ll be there from about 4PM to 5:00‑5:30 if you wanna come out and hang with us. It’s at 48th Street between Eighth and Broadway. It’s gonna be a weekly show that we’re gonna put on for FerrallRadio.com. I think you’ll dig it!

Jim Furyk slept in yesterday and missed his pro‑am tee time at 7:30 in the morning for the Barclays so he was disqualified from the tournament. We had Brian Katrek of PGA Radio on last night to talk about that, as well as Tiger’s divorce. He’ll be on again tonight, Friday and Monday talking about the first tournament in the Fed Ex Cup. There’s four of them total, so Furyk’s dead in the water after being 3rd in points before this debacle. We’ll follow the tournament as it goes with Katrek on the air.

We’ll see you tonight, 8PM East (5PM West) on Sirius XM’s Howard 101. Have a great day. Shake it up!!

Don’t forget to get those college and pro packages on sale at ScottBeatsTheMan.com. Don’t forget to check out the vent every day and the newly added Fantasy Alarm deal on FerrallRadio.com. Follow me on Facebook at facebook.com/scottferrall79 and on twitter on @scottferrall.

Did you see that shellacking the Yankees put on the Blue Jays in Toronto last night? They hit five homeruns and pounded the Jays 11‑5 and they even led by ten runs at one point. Jeter hit one into the upper deck and they just had everybody going off. Granderson had three run shot, Thames hit one, Teixeira hit one, everybody was in on it. The Mets rallied to beat the Marlins 6‑5 at Citi Field with Luis Castillo getting the walk-off hit. The Phillies and Astros played a marathon. When I left the studio they were in the 16th inning and the Astros had a 4‑2 lead. The thrill of the night though in that game was seeing the Phillies after Ryan Howard got thrown out arguing a called third strike on a check swing by the third base umpire where he flipped out and went after the ump with flailing arms while screaming, swearing and calling him every name in the book. They had to restrain him so he didn’t get physical with the guy. So they brought Ibanez in and had him play first. And who was the left fielder? None other than one of their aces – Roy Oswalt went out and played left and then of course they hit the first pitch into left field, a line drive. The Astros, his former team, hit right at him and Oswalt made the play. Yeah, he made the catch. He was styling but the Astros would dole up two runs in the 16th and that’s where I left it.

Don’t forget to get those college and pro packages on sale at ScottBeatsTheMan.com. We’re going to be taping our football show webisodes down at Hurley’s on Thursday on 48th Street between Eighth and Broadway. Come on out. We’ll be there from 4:00 to 5:30 Eastern at Hurley’s taping the new show. We’re going to preview college and pro football games every week on this show and they’ll run on FerrallRadio.com.

We’re on tonight at 8PM East (5PM West on Sirius XM’s Howard 101. There are 16 baseball games including a double header between the Mariners and Red Sox at Fenway after they got washed out last night. We’ll preview a double header of NFL preseason games Thursday night as well as the tons of games Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday night. We’re also getting closer to college football, which starts next Thursday so we’re talking college pig skin out the ass every night until then, you can count on it! It’s the Ferrall Show exclusively on Sirius XM’s Howard 101. Shake it up everybody!!

My preseason NFL picks continued to dominate last night in Nashville as the Titans stomped the Arizona Cardinals 24-10. I’ve been dominating with my locks so far and this week we have more big games on tap Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and another game on Monday Night Football next week. It was great being on the air last night, back from a little mini-vaca down to the shore. I had a great time with Jonesy and I even had a call from the Guiliano brothers last night, this great band I saw Saturday night in C Isle.

Anyway, good news for golf fans, Tiger Woods is finally divorced. A joint statement by Elin and Tiger released Monday solidified the fact that their marriage is over. You have to think now that he’s got that off of his shoulders he can start concentrating on golf again and start practicing and getting ready for the Ryder Cup. You know he’s going to get picked for the Ryder Cup team, there’s no way they’re leaving him off of that. Once he’s got all that nonsense behind him, he can get back to being the No. 1 player in the world again. You knew all along she was gonna leave him because there’s no way any woman I’ve ever met in my life or anyone you’ve ever seen or known or heard of would ever put up with a guy that banged hundreds of whores. There’s no way he did 12, I mean, he did every woman he ever met, I’ve always believed from Day 1 he was just on a tear cheating on her and hitting anything he could. What goes around comes around. He got busted, he got embarrassed, he got shredded by the media, I mean that’s all anyone talked about for months on end. You remember it happened at Thanksgiving, and now it’s basically all over with, and all he got out of it was basically some visitation rights and parenting rights with his kids. He has to pay her millions upon millions upon millions of dollars to just, I guess, get over the fact that he embarrassed her, lied to her, cheated on her, did her every which way but loose, and screwed her over and ruined her life. But she’ll be fine and move on, she’s smoking hot and she’ll get any guy she wants. It’s gonna be interesting to see if he ever gets married again, or what he ends up hooking up with.

I still can’t fathom this Roger Clemens case. Can you imagine if this guy goes to jail for lying to Congress? That he’s gonna get put away for perjury? Are you kidding me? I’ll believe it when I see it. I just don’t believe Roger Clemens is gonna go to jail. Even though he did lie, I don’t believe a word he says, I just can’t fathom seeing him behind bars, either him or Bonds to be honest with you.

We’ll do it again tonight 8PM East (5PM West) on Sirius XM’s Howard 101. We’ll be raging!

Don’t forget college football starts next Thursday, so get your college and pro packages on sale now at ScottBeatstheMan.com! The college picks packages will be on sale ’til Wednesday of next week, and the following Wednesday before the season kicks off that Thursday. The college season starts on the second and the NFL starts on the ninth with the Vikings and Saints. So, get your packages now on ScottBeatstheMan.com. Shake it up!

Last on the show with Lou and Mafia filling in, in the last hour free-for-all style, we talked about a few things I thought were interesting. I brought up how I was watching the Phillies game on Thursday, their loss to the Giants, but Citizen’s has sold out a hundred consecutive baseball games in Philadelphia. It goes back to earlier in the week when we were doing the show and I was talking about how those fans are long-suffering and they’ve been through hell even though they won the World Series a few years ago. Think about it. Five NFC championship games, a Super Bowl loss, nothing’s ever come of any of it. The Flyers were in the Eastern Conference Finals a year ago and lost to the Penguins and this year they made it to the Stanley Cup Finals and lost to the Blackhawks. Here they are again in the lead for the wildcard and they’re gonna go to the playoffs. They are the deepest most loaded team in my view and I’ve always believed they were gonna catch the Braves. I said yesterday I liked that move to get Derek Lee down there in Atlanta, they needed him with the Chipper Jones injury, but Philadelphia, man, 100 straight sell-outs it’s crazy.

I was watching Tom Brady last night as well, moving the Patriots all up and down the Falcons’ throats. They went into Atlanta and just kicked the Falcons’ ass and Brady looked sharp, in fact he looked pissed off. He looked like he was saying “Go ahead and don’t give me a new contract Robert Kraft, I’ll play my last year in a contract year pissed off, and I’ll win a bunch of games and I’ll rack up tons of touchdowns and yards and then you’ll end up owing me more money than you would’ve if you would’ve just given me a deal early.” Brady looked real clean last night and they got the job done on the road and they had it all going. Fred Taylor ran one in from like 21 yards out to give them their first score, and they just rocked from there. Bills also beat up the Colts last night in Buffalo, crazy. There’s a game on tonight and then Saturday there’s tons of games, eleven of them. Sunday there’s a pair and then Monday night I’ll be back on the air for the Titans and Arizona.

I’m raging in Ocean City, went to the boardwalk, partied, chilled at the beach, busted off tons of beers, and checked out chicks in bikinis and we were tossing the football around, raging. I got my Sirius XM blasting down here at the beach. I got one of those XMP3’s. I was listening to Howard and I listened to the boys last night, it’s great! I’m listening to music and it’s basically kick-ass weather, I can’t beat it!

We’ll see what happens on a pain-free Friday, Sid Rosenberg will be in to fill-in with the boys. I’m sure they will do a great job on the show tonight. I’ll probably call in and see what’s shakin. They got a great slew of people coming on, including Mike Florio of NBC Sports and profootballtalk.com and my friend Tim Graham of ESPN.com who covers the AFC East. Shake it up!

Don’t forget to get my college and pro seasonal packages for Football at ScottBeatsTheMan.com plus my daily baseball snags, premier soccer in Europe on Saturday, everything’s up and rocking. Get those packages for football. Believe me, it’s the way to go. Buy ‘em now. Get every pick the whole season.

The Braves gotta get credit for the deal for Derek Lee. Especially after Chipper went down, now they can move Glaus over to third and put Lee at first, but they’re obviously making a push for the playoffs in Bobby Cox’s last year, and they’re not messing around down in Hot Town, which is really cool.

Last night was a blast for me at the shore. I’m down near AC, and we are partying hard on the shore Jonesy style. We went to the Taj and tore it up. Played everything that mattered, then we called the show on the way home to talk to Sweet Lou and Mafia, and apparently Rahsaan the ball carrier cut his finger off. Oh God!

There’s two pre‑season games tonight, which I’m digging. One is in Buffalo and the other one is in Atlanta, and I don’t have to worry about it. I might go back to the casino. I don’t have to worry about anything. I’m busting off fresh season at the beach right now, sucker!! Shake It Up!

The picks are all up for this week’s pre-season football games in the NFL and the Premiership soccer picks for Saturday. Baseball will be a daily. All of it is at ScottBeastheMan.com! Shake It Up!!

Don’t forget to check out the vent every day and the newly added Fantasy Alarm deal on FerrallRadio.com. Follow me on Facebook at facebook.com/scottferrall79 and on twitter on @scottferrall. We have other surprises coming to the website soon too!!

You think about great baseball players over the years and you’ve got to think of Jim Thome and man did he come through in the clutch last night for the Twins. Here they were in a crucial game with the White Sox with both of them battling for first place, it seems like forever, this season and the Twins had the game 5-4 in the ninth inning. Alexi Ramirez had stepped up for the White Sox by hitting a game tying home run and then the go-ahead single in the 10th inning to give the White Sox the lead 6-5. Then, in the bottom half of the inning Thome steps up and jacks a two-run homer, that was just a bomb, and it was just a gigantic walk-off style win for the Twins 7-6. It was crazy and then he got pied in the face. They’re talking about this guy coming back next year too.

Speaking of comebacks in Minnesota it looks like Brett Favre is back with the Vikings. You’re going to see the big press conference today but yesterday he flew to Minnesota from down in Mississippi and it’s all in motion. The wheels are spinning and Favre’s coming back to go at it again with the Vikings and make another run. Of course, they lost in the NFC title game to the Saints last year on his interception. Do you think he can do it? Do you think the old man can come back with his back, surgically repaired ankle and take the Vikings to the Promised Land? A lot of people think so. They think it’s automatic. They’re the team to beat now in the NFC but only time will tell.

I’m going to be off on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Lou, Mafia and Rahsaan will be hosting the show. Support the show while I’m gone and tune in to the boys. I’m going down to the shore with the family to chill, surf, drink, smoke, hang out, have sex, cause trouble, eat fish, that kind of thing. Hanging with my boy, Jonesy, he’s the best. We’re going to live large and throw down epic style. It should be a blast. I’ll catch you freaks Monday night for the Arizona Cardinals and Tennessee Titans on Monday night football at 8PM East (5PM West) on Howard 101. The picks are all up for this week’s pre-season football games in the NFL and the Premiership soccer picks for Saturday. Baseball will be a daily. All of it is at ScottBeastheMan.com! Shake It Up!!
