Dustin Johnson Blows Another Major!!
What is the deal with Dustin Johnson? This guy has another meltdown at a major! If you think back to the U.S. Open at Pebble Beach this summer, he blew up on the final round. I think he had a four-stroke lead and blew up for an 82 and got crushed on Sunday in Northern Cali. Then yesterday in the PGA Championship the guy gets the lead, with two holes to play, and all he needs to do is get a par on No. 18 and he wins the Wannamaker trophy. He ends up hitting the ball to the right where it goes into an area where tons of fans are there and it looks like some trampled ground, turns out it was a sand trap and he grounded his club which you’re not allowed to do otherwise it’s a two stroke penalty so he finishes with a seven instead of a five. He missed the putt on the green that would have won the championship, but hit the second putt that would have put him in a three-way playoff with Kaymer and Bubba Watson. Instead, he gets a two‑stroke penalty and, thus, he’s not in the playoff and he gets sent packing. Goodnight, thanks for coming, you lose! So his mistake of grounding the club cost him a major and that’s two majors this summer he could have won on the final day but choked and the German ends up winning it. Kaymer takes the trophy after Bubba Watson hits a ball on the third playoff hole in the water and that was goodnight Irene. Kaymer, the 25‑year-old German wins the PGA Championship and that’s it for the majors. Oh, and one other thing, Tiger sucked again and finished like nine back. His entire year blew. Giants, Jets tonight from the new Meadowlands Stadium for the first game there on Monday Night Football, we’ll have Geno in studio on Sirius XM’s Howard 101!!
