Ferrall Gets Pumped For the Conference Tournaments!!
Big East Tournament starts today and it’s going to be awesome. How does it get any better than this? But, the first round games are kind of average. South Florida against DePaul, kicks it off at noon. UConn at St. Johns, that could be a good game, the Johnnies are trying to basically beat UConn in the Garden. I think they can do it! Seton Hall and Providence, Cincinnati and Rutgers, those are the games today. Tomorrow has a slew of good ones, Georgetown, Marquette, Notre Dame, Louisville, all going to be in action on Wednesday. Notre Dame obviously has been on fire of late and I think it’s automatic that they’re getting into the NCAA tournament the way they’ve played over the last two weeks. There’s all kinds of other tournaments going on, the A10 tournament today, Saint Joe’s at Rhode Island, UMass at Charlotte, GW at Dayton and Duquesne at Saint Bonnie. Those games should be good. Obviously Dayton and Rhode Island need to finish strong or they’re not getting into the tournament. I had the call of the week so far, last night at Saint Mary’s. I picked them over Gonzaga in the West Coast Conference Tournament Championship Game, 81-62. The Gaels win it with a shocker. They blow out the Zags who obviously everyone thought was going to win easily but they didn’t and Wofford won the Southern Conference get their first ever NCAA Tournament bid. They beat Appalachian State, 56-51. In the Colonial, Old Dominion got into the tournament for the first time since 2005. They beat William & Mary to get there. In the Metro Atlantic, Sienna rallied from 15 down to beat Fairfield. Summit title game today it’s IUPUI versus Oakland and in the Sioux Arena, the Sunbelt title game is going to be Troy against North Texas.
Unbelievable upset in hockey last night as Dallas went into Washington and beat the Capitals in a shootout 4-3 and L.A. bombed Columbus 6-0. Let’s take a look at tonight’s games around the league. There’s nine of them on the slate. Nashville is in Atlanta. Detroit welcomes in Calgary. Philly has the Islanders in Philly. Boston is at Toronto, Montreal is home to Tampa, Minnesota is home to Florida. Colorado has Vancouver in the Pepsi Can. Ottawa is in Edmonton and Anaheim hosts Columbus.
Last night the Cavs win minus Lebron. They beat San Antonio 97-95 without their star player. The Knicks beat Atlanta by 1 if you can believe it. Dallas has won 12 in a row. They ripped Minnesota 125-112, New Orleans by 4 over Golden State in a wild one, 135-131, and Memphis by 6 over New Jersey. NBA there’s eight games tonight, Washington against Houston, Orlando welcomes in the Clips, Philly’s at Indiana, Charlotte has Miami in North Carolina, Milwaukee hosts Boston, Utah’s at Chicago, Portland is home to host Sacramento and the Lakers finally get home from their long road trip and take on the Raptors at Staples Center in Lipstick City.

Enjoy the conference tournament action today. My favorite starting off at the Garden, the Big East, it doesn’t get any thicker than that. Shake it up!!
