Ferrall Is Excited for the Return of Full Schedule Baseball!!

What a scene it will be tonight at Yankee Stadium, with the passing of George Steinbrenner and Bob Sheppard when everything was going down during the All Star break and they were out in Anaheim.  The Yankees return home and battle the Rays in a match-up of first and second place teams in the A.L. East.  It’s in the Bronx and you know it’s just going to be a scene.  They are going to do something all weekend from, what I am hearing, to honor “The Boss” and Sheppard and so it will be interesting to keep an eye on that.  There are fifteen baseball games on the schedule tonight, but that one is really the game of the night with everything that has transpired over the last week or so in Major League Baseball.  Good to have baseball back.  Last night there were seven games with the most surprising being that Texas went into Fenway and roughed up the Red Sox.

We were bummed out at the end of the show last night because we thought that Dwyane Wade and Alonzo Mourning calling-in on a Pain Free Friday but at the very last minute they had to cancel.  They had some complications and conflicts with some scheduling and have to MC some event and so we got brushed aside.  Hopefully we will get both of them on next week.  So we are going to have to forget about that and move on and do a kick‑ass show anyway.  We got Round 2 of the British Open today so we’ll get Brian Katrek on to talk about everything that went down at St. Andrews all day.  I love watching the British Open on TV all day long from the live action the minute you get up in the morning to even the replays in the afternoon and evening on ESPN.  It’s just great golf.  I love links golf and Rory McIlroy was incredible with a 63 in Round 1 and then the John Daly performance being three strokes back was completely unexpected.  Tiger was also in the hunt at five under after Day 1 with McIlroy at nine under after the first round.  You know Tiger is going to be there all weekend chasing down whoever is ahead of him.

We are going to talk about everything including NFL, Boxing and MMA.  We will get into the debate of whether or not Mayweather is afraid of the Pacman.  The alleged deadline for Floyd Mayweather to accept a fight with Pacquiao is Friday and if he doesn’t they will either move the proposed date or look for other fights for Pacquiao.  If he doesn’t make a decision people are just going to start calling him a pussy and say that he is scared to fight Pacman.  We’ll let the fans get into and debate.  Plus, there is this bizarre article about the 25 most overrated athletes and it really is ridiculous, some of the choices are so bizarre that it is enough to piss you off.  I’ll throw the names that they have as overrated to get you all fired up on this show tonight and call in and rage with us.  The number is 888‑STERN-101.

You have to follow me on Facebook at Facebook.com/ScottFerrall79 and on Twitter on @ScottFerrall.  Make sure you read the Vent and Taunter.com stuff on FerrallRadio.com every day and don’t forget to check out the Churchof Ferrall.com during the show for all your ass and rack needs.

It was great having Shuli and John Tole in the studio last night to rage with us.  Sid Rosenberg was supposed to stop by last night and now he says he is stopping by tonight so we will be raging with him.  We will set you up for the weekend everything going down.

Don’t forget if you want to get on the Lean, which apparently I need to get on harder because Ferrall tipped the scales at 201 for the first time in my life, click on the Nutrition 53 banners on FerrallRadio.com to get special deals for Ferrall fans.  I am over 200 pounds, that is insane, I am just tripping because I have never been this heavy.  I guess I am just gaining weight drinking whiskey and cold beer and eating barbecue and pounding Hurley’s.  You know when your in Times Square you have to go to Hurley’s to party and eat because they got the best grub and the best sports TV viewing and plenty of Ferrall fans and friends and other cool people in there slamming shots and beers and eating food until they are blue in the face.  They are open every night until 4:00 a.m.  It’s at 48th Street between Eighth and Broadway in Manhattan.  If you need a suit, you have to go to Joseph’s Custom Clothier on Third Avenue in New York and check out my boy Joey Wendt because he is the best at making suits and he’ll even come to you.  Do you have spine, neck or back problems?  Go to The Spine & Health Center in Montvale, New Jersey and ask for Dr. Peter or Dr. Kelly.

Don’t forget that next Wednesday I am going to be live at the Hard Rock in Times Square for the Sirius XM Fantasy Blowout Party.  There will be live music and all the best sports shows on Sirius will be there.  We’ll be there from The Ferrall Show drafting our fantasy team for this season.  It’s all in honor of our new fantasy sports radio channel on Sirius XM with 24/7 fantasy coverage.  Our buddies Maurice Jones Drew and Jeremy Roenick do shows on there and you have fanball.com and Rotoworld.  All the hosts will be there Wednesday July 21 at the Hard Rock at Times Square.  It is going to be running from Noon to 4PM Eastern.  Go on Sirius.com or XM.com and look up the fantasy party and you can RSVP or sign up for it to get into the party.  We’ll be broadcasting there all day.  I know the Wrap Up Show is going to be there, Mad Dog Radio is going to be there doing shows, NFL radio is going to be there doing shows with Adam Schein.  It’s going to be a great day.  See you tonight at 8PM East (5PM West) on Sirius XM’s Howard 101.  Shake it up!
