Ferrall Is Excited for the US Open at Pebble Beach!!

hurleys

You’ve got the start of the U.S. Open and golf at the legendary Pebble Beach in Northern California.  What a kick ass golf course, I played it a couple times and my mother’s sister used to run the lodge at Pebble Beach where she was the GM for over 30 years.  It was an incredible relationship because I got the juice to play the course a couple times.  It’s just a great venue for our national championship in golf, and if you remember ten years ago Tiger Woods won it by 15 strokes but I don’t think that’s going to happen this time around.  In fact, I think a lot of guys that don’t have the big name lure are going to be in it.  Guys like Ye Yang, the Lou Donalds, the Lee Westwoods, the Zach Johnsons, the Lucas Glovers and the Rickie Barns’.  It’s just going to be awesome because it’s on Thursday through Father’s Day and it’s just always an event that everyone watches, even if you don’t get into golf.  I always get into the U.S. Open and the Majors but I’ll be even more into this tournament because it’s just such a sickening golf course with beautiful vista views of the Pacific Ocean.  It’s just going to be insane golf because it’s a treacherous golf course, it’s really hard, and I don’t think it’s going to be a super high score under par.  I think it’s going to be more in the range between 5 and 7 under par that wins it.  They tee it up with Round 1.

You start your day, of course, with the World Cup every day, South Korea and Argentina face off today and Diego Maradona says their just not losing to the South Koreans.  Nigeria and Greece is the middle game and then Mexico faces France, I mean that’s some pretty thick action right there.

Of course it’s Game 7 tonight in the NBA finals on ABC.  You can watch Ferrall’s “Downfall” and “Wipeout” promos that run during the finals that are kick ass.  Kobe and the Lakers, can they do it again?  They blew out the Celtics in Game 6 on Tuesday night, 87-69 and it was ugly with total domination on the boards and there was even domination from the LA bench.  Kobe went off  for 26 points, 11 boards, 4 steals and 3 assists.  They just shut down the Celtics and Boston couldn’t get anybody going.  The Celtic bench was dead, they didn’t get their first bench points until there was nine minutes left in the game.  They can’t play that way tonight in Game 7 or it will be all but over for them.  The loser goes home empty handed and the winner wins the championship.  Will the Lakers get two in a row?  Will Phil Jackson win another championship, his 11th?  He gets a $2 million bonus if he wins the championship.  So many story lines in this game.  Doc Rivers, the coach of the Celtics, is done coaching the Celtics win or lose according to reports that are surfacing.  He’s going to walk away, take a break from coaching and maybe get into the television side of things.  Tonight it’s for all the marbles at the Staples Center and it should be awesome.

Don’t forget to go to 15foundation.org and check out Robin Quivers’ charity event June 23 at Caroline’s.  You know you can bid to go to a Mets game with me this Summer at Citi Field with all your buddies, so go on there and check it out.  You can even go to my Facebook page at facebook.com/Scott Ferrall79 or just search Scott Ferrall.  Go to my Facebook page and the Facebook site.  It’s facebook.com/charitybuzz to bid on the chance to go to the Mets game with me, and it’s the same thing @charitybuzz on Twitter, so check those sites out.

If you want to get my action in the 11 baseball games on Thursday, just go to ScottBeatstheMan.com where you can also get my Lakers/Celtics picks and my World Cup picks.  ScottBeatstheMan.com has my picks every day in every sport seven days a week, 365.  If you want to lose some weight this summer because you’re feeling like a fat ass, click on the link on FerrallRadio.com to go to Nutrition53 and get on Romo’s Lean.  It works, trust me.  You want to get a suit, go to Josephs Custom Clothier in New York City on 3rd Ave.  Check out my boy Joey Wendt.  He’ll come to you to fit you and cut you a kick ass suit.

Last night’s show was unbelievable having Mike Hill on from ESPN, I love Chill Hill, he’s the man.  Sometimes you can check him out on Sirius even when he goes on Shade45 on the Morning Show, and he’s always doing the NFL today on ESPN.  I also loved having the website guy Brooks from sportsbybrooks.com on talking about his kick ass website.  I’ve been looking at it every day for years.  It started in 2001 and I’ve been a huge fan of it ever since.  The guy’s got it going on and that was a great interview last night on the show.  Tonight on the show at 8PM East (5PM West) on Howard 101, I think we’ll have Bryan Katrek from PGA Radio on Sirius XM live from Pebble Beach giving us an update after Round 1 of the US Open.  We’re also going to have a player from the LA Galaxy on to talk about the U.S. match with Slovenia on Friday morning in South Africa.  We’ll see you tonight on the show.  Have a great day.  Shake it up!
