Ferrall Was Impressed With the Phillies and Pats!!
Last on the show with Lou and Mafia filling in, in the last hour free-for-all style, we talked about a few things I thought were interesting. I brought up how I was watching the Phillies game on Thursday, their loss to the Giants, but Citizen’s has sold out a hundred consecutive baseball games in Philadelphia. It goes back to earlier in the week when we were doing the show and I was talking about how those fans are long-suffering and they’ve been through hell even though they won the World Series a few years ago. Think about it. Five NFC championship games, a Super Bowl loss, nothing’s ever come of any of it. The Flyers were in the Eastern Conference Finals a year ago and lost to the Penguins and this year they made it to the Stanley Cup Finals and lost to the Blackhawks. Here they are again in the lead for the wildcard and they’re gonna go to the playoffs. They are the deepest most loaded team in my view and I’ve always believed they were gonna catch the Braves. I said yesterday I liked that move to get Derek Lee down there in Atlanta, they needed him with the Chipper Jones injury, but Philadelphia, man, 100 straight sell-outs it’s crazy.
I was watching Tom Brady last night as well, moving the Patriots all up and down the Falcons’ throats. They went into Atlanta and just kicked the Falcons’ ass and Brady looked sharp, in fact he looked pissed off. He looked like he was saying “Go ahead and don’t give me a new contract Robert Kraft, I’ll play my last year in a contract year pissed off, and I’ll win a bunch of games and I’ll rack up tons of touchdowns and yards and then you’ll end up owing me more money than you would’ve if you would’ve just given me a deal early.” Brady looked real clean last night and they got the job done on the road and they had it all going. Fred Taylor ran one in from like 21 yards out to give them their first score, and they just rocked from there. Bills also beat up the Colts last night in Buffalo, crazy. There’s a game on tonight and then Saturday there’s tons of games, eleven of them. Sunday there’s a pair and then Monday night I’ll be back on the air for the Titans and Arizona.
I’m raging in Ocean City, went to the boardwalk, partied, chilled at the beach, busted off tons of beers, and checked out chicks in bikinis and we were tossing the football around, raging. I got my Sirius XM blasting down here at the beach. I got one of those XMP3’s. I was listening to Howard and I listened to the boys last night, it’s great! I’m listening to music and it’s basically kick-ass weather, I can’t beat it!
We’ll see what happens on a pain-free Friday, Sid Rosenberg will be in to fill-in with the boys. I’m sure they will do a great job on the show tonight. I’ll probably call in and see what’s shakin. They got a great slew of people coming on, including Mike Florio of NBC Sports and profootballtalk.com and my friend Tim Graham of ESPN.com who covers the AFC East. Shake it up!
Don’t forget to get my college and pro seasonal packages for Football at ScottBeatsTheMan.com plus my daily baseball snags, premier soccer in Europe on Saturday, everything’s up and rocking. Get those packages for football. Believe me, it’s the way to go. Buy ‘em now. Get every pick the whole season.
