Ferrall’s Sick of NBA Free Agency!!

hurleys

Is there anything worse than these NBA free-agency stories that run every day, all day?  ESPN is inundating us with their crappy stories that aren’t even stories, with all of their sources and all of their reports and all of their faces and all of their big mouths that endlessly try to predict where NBA players are going to go.  But you know who it’s all about, Lebron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh.  I mean it is a joke.  Last night in the middle of my show, ESPN reported that Thursday night at 9PM Eastern there was going to be a Lebron press conference where he would announce where he’s going to play next year.  Within an hour, they were reporting that they were trying to solidify that press conference and lock it down to make sure that it was guaranteed and that it wasn’t even concrete they weren’t even going to have it.  I mean how pathetic is that when it is news that there’s going to be a press conference where we’re going to find out the news.  They’re now making stories out of non‑stories and I’m sick and tired of it.  I don’t know what’s worse, waiting to see the Lebron James saga unfold or watching every year in the summer to see if Brett Favre’s going to come back.  You know as soon as Lebron and all other free agents sign their deals they’re going to shift right over to the Brett Favre saga again to see if he’s going to play for the Vikings this year.  It just goes to show you how bad the summer is when there’s just baseball and a little sprinkling of tennis and golf.  I say thank God for MMA and boxing because if there weren’t fights and MMA events and cards every month then it seems like every two weeks we’d have nothing to talk about.  I think NFL training camp sucks and I think the NFL preseason is even worse.

I don’t really give a shit where Lebron goes at this point.  My guess is he stays where he is, but if he were smart he’d play with the Amar’e in New York because he could take over New York City and the Garden and play in the Mecca.  I really don’t see what there is for him in Cleveland, honestly.  I know he’s from there and his family and he’s been there his whole life and all of that nonsense.  He’s not Michael Jordan, he doesn’t have six rings, he’s not Kobe Bryant, he doesn’t have five rings, he’s got zero rings, none, nein, nil, nunca, he’s got nothing!!  People predicting that he’s going to play for 15 more years and win eight championships are fucking tripping.  When did he win one?  He went to the finals against San Antonio and got his ass slapped!  He’s not winning any titles in Cleveland any time soon!  I mean they loaded that team up for him to win and he didn’t get it done!  I’m just sick and tired of hearing about all of it!

You have to watch Germany and Spain in the last semi-final of the World Cup today.  The Netherlands won 3-2 over Uruguay yesterday so they’re in to the finals.  You have Germany taking on Spain for the final spot.  It’s going to be awesome.  You can watch the game at Hurley’s 2:30PM Eastern on ESPN and then the final is set for Sunday on ABC.  Saturday is basically the loser-bracket game between Uruguay and the loser of Germany/Spain.  I think Germany’s sick.  They don’t have Mueller because he a double yellow so he’s not playing, and he’s one of their studs, but the center up the middle for Germany is still the same so I don’t think it’s going to affect them that much.  They’ve been the best team in the World Cup tournament so far and I think Netherlands is the other best team.  So the two best teams I think are going to meet and we’ll see if they get it done.
