The Mets Can’t Win in Puerto Rico!!
How’d you like that nice little Cliff Lee and Seattle +145 pick I handed out last night with the Mariners beating the Yankees in the boogie down Bronx 7-4. You have to love when I hit those Longshots on ScottBeatstheMan.com.
Here’s an idea for the Mets…Stop playing games in motherfucking Puerto Rico!! God, do they suck when they play those games down there or what. They cannot beat the Marlins in Puerto Rico and they’ve been doing it forever. Why do they keep going down there and tanking every game? I’m just sick of it! The grand slam and a two run shot in the same inning, by Hanley Ramirez and then Dan Uggla followed him up. The Mets just can’t beat Florida down there so stop going for God sakes because it never ends.
There were two great games in the World Cup on Tuesday. Spain pulled out the 1-0 win over Portugal and Paraguay won in penalty kicks over Japan. I went with the double upsets in both and couldn’t hit but that’s ok cause you hve to risk it every now and then and you gotta have some balls to make those picks. After winning six in a row on the money line, why not take a chance for a big payday and I went for it and got burned. I can’t wait for Friday when they get into the final eight. All of the teams are kickass and it’s gonna be awesome soccer whether you like it or not. I love the fact that they said FIFA looks like for the next World Cup in four years they’ll have instant replay on the goal line since they’ve screwed up all these calls. The FIFA president finally admitted the mistakes and he said there’s nothing we can do about it now and can’t change it during this World Cup, but they’ll consider it for the next one, which is a nice way of saying that they’re gonna do it.
We have LaMarr Woodley and the Pittsburgh Steelers on the show tonight at 8PM East (5PM West) on Howard 101. We’ll talk about everything that’s going on with the Steelers’ injuries to Colon as well as their wide receiver situation being horrible and Leftwich having to play in the first few games of the season. Is it gonna be a disaster? Plus, we’ve got the CEO and president of Strikeforce, Scott Coker, coming on to talk about his MMA Organization, what’s going on there, and the Fabricio Werdum’s upset. We’ll talk about UFC 116, which is Saturday in Vegas with Carwin against Brock Lesner. That should be awesome over the Fourth of July weekend. We’re finally gonna get to the pound for pound best fighters in the world, and the divisional rankings in boxing, and the rumors are flying about Pacquiao and Mayweather fighting and that it looks like it will take place November 13 in Vegas.
We had Scott Miller of CBSSports.com on the show last night. He’s a great baseball writer and a good friend and we just went off on baseball for almost an hour talking about every single team, every single race, every single division, hot players, cold players, psycho players, pitchers, hitters, all the biggest stories, managers on the hot seat, you name it, we did it. I always love when he comes on, he knows so much about baseball. Of course the All-star game this year is in Anaheim July 13 right in his backyard.
