The US Wins in the World Cup Despite the Refs!!
That U.S. – Algeria game at the World Cup today was absolutely kickass!! The Americans had the win to advance. A tie meant they would go home because Slovenia didn’t tie England so the U.S. would end up losers. So what happens? England wins 1-0 and then the U.S. is scoreless, after getting a goal taken away by the refs on a bullshit call again. But in the 91st minute Donovan scored for the Americans, they win it 1-0 and they’re moving on to the Round of 16 of the World Cup and fans were going crazy in pubs all over America! Shots and beers for everybody!! There’s chaos in the streets across the USA. How about Landon Donovan. We had his teammate from the LA Galaxy on last night, Todd Dunivant, and we predicted that they would win and that England would win and they both did. They were minutes away from being eliminated in the World Cup and coming home totally disappointed, and the weirdest thing about this game was just like in their last game, the Americans got screwed by a referee when a goal is disallowed in the first half on another crappy off sides call. It was clearly a goal and everybody knew it, the announcers, the fans, and people watching all over the world pulling their hair out because that goal was disallowed by these shitty refs in the FIFA World Cup. My God they’re awful, they’re anemic and they can’t get anything right. I’m starting to think without a doubt, unequivocally, that people just hate America and they want us to lose and be eliminated from the World Cup. How else can you explain two straight games when they were screwed out of victories with called off goals? The last game they were tied two all and the goal would have won the thing at 3-2, but they screwed them out of the goal and they end up tied 2-2 and then today they get a goal disallowed off sides that would have given them a 1-0 lead to rob the entire game over Algeria and give U.S. fans a heart attack the rest of the game. So, instead they had to rely on Donovan’s foot in the last minutes of the game and he did it in 91st minute. I think the refs are trying to screw the Americans, I really do and we’re going to talk about it tonight on the show at 8PM East (5PM West) on Howard 101.
Screw these refs. I’m getting sick and tired of it, call the game right, get instant replay, use the video cameras down by the goal because they just keep botching these great goals that are clearly on side and I think they’re just getting shocked. It’s getting ridiculous, what’s going to happen in the Round of 16? Is this just going to be endless bad calls against the Americans? Seriously, and I know I sound like a bitch right now, but how many games in a row are they going to get screwed before somebody does something about it? I know they got rid of that ref in the previous game that screwed them over, but I mean this is just getting sickening watching these refs screw them out of goals. Plus, in that game today they hit a bunch of posts and the U.S. had so many chances to score. They were shooting wide and hitting posts, they had the best chances all day, but they get the late goal to win it 1-0. I just think it’s kickass.!!
On the show tonight at 8PM East (5PM West) we’re going to talk about the NBA draft, which is Thursday, and the NHL draft, which is in LA on Friday. We’re going to talk about the other World Cup Games for Thursday, and there’s a ton of great games as well as 15 baseball games tonight. Interleague play and I think the best game is clearly the Red Sox and Rockies at Coors Field where Lackey at 8-3 goes against Jimenez who’s 13-1 with a 1.15 ERA.
