Tuesday Was A Day Of Comebacks in Minnesota!!
You think about great baseball players over the years and you’ve got to think of Jim Thome and man did he come through in the clutch last night for the Twins. Here they were in a crucial game with the White Sox with both of them battling for first place, it seems like forever, this season and the Twins had the game 5-4 in the ninth inning. Alexi Ramirez had stepped up for the White Sox by hitting a game tying home run and then the go-ahead single in the 10th inning to give the White Sox the lead 6-5. Then, in the bottom half of the inning Thome steps up and jacks a two-run homer, that was just a bomb, and it was just a gigantic walk-off style win for the Twins 7-6. It was crazy and then he got pied in the face. They’re talking about this guy coming back next year too.
Speaking of comebacks in Minnesota it looks like Brett Favre is back with the Vikings. You’re going to see the big press conference today but yesterday he flew to Minnesota from down in Mississippi and it’s all in motion. The wheels are spinning and Favre’s coming back to go at it again with the Vikings and make another run. Of course, they lost in the NFC title game to the Saints last year on his interception. Do you think he can do it? Do you think the old man can come back with his back, surgically repaired ankle and take the Vikings to the Promised Land? A lot of people think so. They think it’s automatic. They’re the team to beat now in the NFC but only time will tell.
I’m going to be off on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Lou, Mafia and Rahsaan will be hosting the show. Support the show while I’m gone and tune in to the boys. I’m going down to the shore with the family to chill, surf, drink, smoke, hang out, have sex, cause trouble, eat fish, that kind of thing. Hanging with my boy, Jonesy, he’s the best. We’re going to live large and throw down epic style. It should be a blast. I’ll catch you freaks Monday night for the Arizona Cardinals and Tennessee Titans on Monday night football at 8PM East (5PM West) on Howard 101.
