What an End to the NBA Finals!!
Game 7 of the NBA finals last night in Lipstick City was flat out epic and the Staples Center was rocking. The Lakers got it done with a huge second half surge and fourth quarter finish. They did it on the glass, tere’s really no other way of explaining their second championship in a row. That’s back-to‑back titles for the Lakers and Kobe Bryant wins his fifth ring and he gets the MVP to boot as they win 83‑79. It was a crazy game and you really can’t explain it because Boston out shot them from the field, from beyond the arc in three-point land and at the free throw line. I mean it was total domination in the stats where the Celtics shot better from the floor, 41% to 32%, Celtics were better from the free-throw line, 88% to 68% and from threes it was 37% to 20%. That’s total domination shooting the rock from everywhere on the floor. How do you lose a game like that? I guess stats do lie! Boston outplayed them for three quarters. There was a lull in the second half when Boston couldn’t hit a bucket for several minutes and were sitting on 54 for a while. They couldn’t get one to go down but it wasn’t like the Lakers were hitting shots either. I think they did it with the rebounding. Besides his 23 points Kobe had 15 boards, Gasol had 18 boards and Artest had some huge threes finished with 20. The performance of the Lakers was unbelievable with the rally cap on, getting it done by coming from behind after Boston had huge leads in that game. The most amazing thing for me watching the game was that I had bet on Boston getting the seven points to cover the spread and I had a sandwich going because I took LA to win on the money line. So Boston loses by four, so they covered the seven but I had LA winning the game and winning the title and they were at -350 so I had both ends of the enormous Game 7 hit. Nobody had Boston taking the points after the way they looked in Game 6.
I’m sure everybody’s sucking Kobe off because he wins another championship and gets another MVP but it was my boy Ron Artest who made the huge difference in the last game. Ron Ron has been through so much getting thrown out of the league for the brawl at the Palace in Auburn Hills when he played with the Pacers against the Pistons and he was vilified and everybody wanted to toss him out of the league for good. They said he was a psycho and then he eventually went to the Rockets and played pretty well for Houston and jumps over to the Lakers this year and he goes out and wins his first championship. If you remember I was the one that told Ron Artest on my show live one night in New York City that he had been traded to the Rockets and he was stunned and ran out of the studio and he’s like Ferrall you’ve got to be kidding me and then he called his agent and he found out it was true. He had been playing ball at an intercity pickup game in New York and had no clue he had been traded that night and I was the first person to tell him and he was just flipping out over it. But I was so stoked for Ron to go get a championship with the Lakers and they played their balls off. I thought Boston went for it tonight and gave it everything they had and left it all on the floor. Pierce had a huge game. I was pretty surprised that Garnett only had three rebounds in that game. Rasheed Wallace hit a couple of big threes and Rondo hits some big threes. Pierce played the best for them shooting wise, but now the Lakers have their 16th world championship.
We’ll be all over the 15 interleague baseball games tonight on a pain-free Friday at 8PM East (5PM West) as well as Round 2 of the US Open. We’ll get you ready for the Ultimate Fighter 11 Finale this weekend on Spike and Andre Ward against Green, a nice boxing match up, as well as NASCAR at Sanoma, all of that on the show tonight. We’ll be raging with you as usual on the phones.
Details will be coming soon on the show about the Ferrall Open Golf Tournament I’m going to be having in Hamburg, New Jersey at Crystal Springs. We’re going to play on two courses up there. Come one, come all. All the fans of the Ferrall Show are going to be invited to sign-up and play in this event. It’ll be the first of its kind for the show. We’ll tell you all about it in the coming weeks. We’re setting the whole tournament off but it’s going to be August 27 and 28. There will be a big bash on Friday the 27th up there and you can stay at one of their resorts. They have several properties and it’s up by Mountain Creek Ski Resort. Then Saturday we’ll golf all day on two different courses. It should be an awesome tournament.

We’re going to the graduation ceremony first thing today and I’m pretty happy for him. I’m proud of him. The whole family’s going to be there. We’re going to film it and so it’s Gunner’s big day. Congrats Gunner! You’re the man!
